Beverly Hills has a new star moving into the neighborhood. Jennifer Lawrence just plopped down a cool $8.2 million for Jessica Simpson's old pad, according to real estate website Trulia.

Lawrence bought the property from an unknown buyer after Jessica Simpson sold it in October 2013 for $6.4 million.

Simpson isn't the only one: Paul Hogan, Ellen DeGeneres, and other industry bigwigs have all called this mansion home, Trulia reports.

The mansion has 5 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms for a total of 5,500 square feet. The gated and walled property was custom built in 1991.

Lawrence joins a neighborhood of stars, as Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis, who just moved in down the street.

The property is fully walled and gated, offering the ultimate in privacy to its A-list owner.

The house is also located in one of the most private and secure celebrity enclaves in Beverly Hills.

A formal living room delights guests with classical touches like hanging chandeliers. Adjacent to the living room is the formal dining room.

YouTube Star Bethany Mota Explains Why She Was So Excited To Read The First Mean Comment Left On Her Videos

bethany mota

19-year-old YouTube star Bethany Mota YouTube has more than 7 million subscribers and a clothing line at Aeropostale that has generated $50 million in sales.

Still, even the biggest social media stars sometimes have to deal with negativity online.

During a panel at Business Insider's Ignition conference, Mota explained how she handles Internet trolls.

"In the beginning, when I got my first hate comment, I was so excited. It was my first one!" she said. "I knew I did something right."

Over time, as her videos were getting more attention, she found that she was getting more and more negative comments.

"With time, someone will say something that really hits you in the heart. At first I wanted to comment back and lash out, but it doesn't help at all," she said. "What I've learned is to either respond very nicely or ignore it. There are always more positive comments than negative, but as humans we tend to react more to the negative."

One person in particular would say something mean on every single video she posted. One day Mota decided to reach out and thank them for watching her videos, even though that person didn't seem to like her very much.

"After that the person responded and apologized," she said. "The things people say online — they'd never say it face to face."

Grumpy Cat Definitely Did Not Make $100 Million

grumpy cat

At least Grumpy Cat has an actual reason to be grumpy now.

Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, was thought to have made nearly $100 million from two books, a movie, and other products.

But Grumpy Cat's owner, Tabatha Bundesen, told The Huffington Post that number was "completely inaccurate."

Bundesen didn't say how much Grumpy Cat had actually raked in.

She seems to be holding out for an interview before diving into the details.

Grumpy Cat's famous frown comes from her dwarfism and underbite.

And even if she hasn't made $100 million, Grump Cat is definitely an internet celebrity. Bundesen's cat went viral in 2012, and she quit her waitressing jobs days later.

Now she spends most of her time traveling and making appearances.

Grumpy Cat has over 29 million views on her YouTube channel and more than 7 million likes on Facebook.

We beg to differ, GQ — George Clooney is still incredibly stylish and these 15 photos prove it

George ClooneyGettyImages 178270056

GQ magazine just released its list of the 20 most stylish men alive, and not only did the publication exclude George Clooney — it rubbed it in his debonair face.

In a post about how the list was determined, GQ contributor Will Welch included a note about Clooney's absence. He wrote:

FWIW: George Clooney may be an icon of manliness to those of us who were born before 1985, but nobody under the age of 30 seems to think of him as particularly stylish.

Talk about shots fired! Let's unpack this.

Seeing as GQ's list was based largely on what famous men wear in their off time, I agree, Clooney's off-carpet style leaves something to be desired. He has an unfortunate collection of dad jeans.

I'll also admit that Clooney is kind of a one-tux-pony. (That is to say, he's most often photographed in formal wear.) But to claim that "nobody under the age of 30" thinks he has style is a blasphemous generalization.

Clooney has set the bar for black-tie on the red carpet.

He represents old Hollywood glamour and gives the young guys on the carpet — like Ryan Gosling and Bradley Cooper, both on GQ's list — something to aspire to. Leaving him off the list is one thing, but denying his influence is quite another.

To be known for one type of look is not a sign of irrelevance, but a badge of true personal style. And if said singular style is Cary Grant meets off-duty superhero, you're doing something very right.

Here are 15 photographs that prove Clooney's ability to look "particularly stylish"— even to the eyes of a twenty-something — as well as some trademark Clooney moves that I picked up in my photo research.

Clooney has a long history of making fashionable arrivals at the Venice Film Festival.

He also has a long history of wearing designer polos — as you can just barely see in this photo — under his sport coat. Here he's rolling up to the 2005 Venice Film Festival.

Clooney and Academy Awards best-dressed lists are pretty much synonymous.

I'd like to point out that this photo was taken in the mid-aughts — a tricky time for men's fashion — and Clooney's tux is perfectly timeless. I could say this image is from 2015 and no one would question it.

He always steps it up when he's being photographed next to Brad Pitt.

I noticed this as I was combing through various photo wires. Clooney's best non-formal-wear moments have been captured during press events and red carpets for his movies with Pitt. Note the polo/coat combo.

Sarah Jessica Parker and Matthew Broderick lost almost $750,000 on the sale of their single-family townhouse in New York's Greenwich Village. And that's before you factor in renovation costs.

According to Curbed, the couple bought the property in 2011 for almost $19 million, renovated it, and put it back on the market a year later for $25 million. The price was chopped twice before going under contract in March for $18.25 million. Fredrik Eklund of Douglas Elliman handled the listing

Here's a look at the pristine interiors of the Parker-Broderick house, which Architectural Digest recently claimed the famous pair never even lived in.

Ariana Grande is embroiled in a donut-licking scandal that's spiraling out of control

Ariana Grande

Ariana Grande celebrated the Fourth of July by licking several donuts in a California shop while un-patriotically proclaiming "I hate America"— and it's all the internet has been able to talk about since.

Since Grande's donut shop trip over the holiday weekend, social media platforms have been going nuts with unfolding reports of the incident. Actor Rob Lowe majorly dissed Grande on Twitter, comparing this to the Dixie Chicks scandal of 2003. The police have gotten involved and the donut shop where the incident occurred has even been investigated for health code violations.

Grande, along with some friends including her backup dancer and boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, caused quite a scene during a recent visit to the Wolfee Donut Shop in Lake Elsinore, California, TMZ reports.

Security footage shows what appears to be Grande and Alvarez licking donuts on the store's front counter and then bursting into laughter.

After salivating on a powdered donut, the 22-year-old singer then made her move toward another tray of confections and continued her tongue tirade.

"She was really rude,"said a Wolfee Donut Shop cashier to The Associated Press of the star's interactions with the shop's employees.

Grande and Alvarez then put their tongues to a different task and shared an intimate kiss, all the while still standing in front of the donut counter.

Near the end of the video, a different tray of donuts is placed in front of Grande.

"What the f--- is this? I hate Americans. I hate America. That is disgusting," Grande appears to say in response to the tray.

After Grande and her friends left the store, the contaminated donuts were sold to other unsuspecting customers.

“Somewhere out there the donuts ended up with a customer, because that night we ended up selling out,” Wolfee Donut Shop owner Joe Marin told Us Weekly

Grande has since apologized for her verbal attack on America, explaining that her outburst was in reference to America's obesity problem, not the country in general.

Here's her formal Twitter apology.

In case you find it hard to read above:

I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country. What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words. As an advocate for healthy eating, food is very important to me and I sometimes get upset by how freely we as Americans eat and consume things without giving any thought to the consequences that it has on our health and society as a whole. The fact that the United States has one of the highest child obesity rates in the world frustrates me. We need to do more to educate ourselves and our children about the dangers of overeating and the poison that we put into our bodies. We need to demand more from our food industry. However I should have known better in how I expressed myself; and with my new responsibility to others as a public figure I will strive to be better. As for why I cannot be at the MLB show, I have had emergency oral surgery and due to recovery I cannot attend the show. I hope to make it up to all those fans soon. That being said let me once again apologize if I have offended anyone with my poor choice of words. - Ariana Grande

However, Grande has not specifically apologized for the actual licking and many Twitter users have called her out for this lack of acknowledgment.

Celebrities are also weighing in on the donut debacle. Earlier Thursday, actor Rob Lowe started trending on Facebook for his Twitter takedown of the pop-star.

Take a look one of Lowe's tweets.

Lowe even compared Grande to The Dixie Chicks, a country music band that came under fire in 2003 after its lead singer said the group was ashamed to call President George W. Bush a fellow Texan

Adding insult to injury, Lowe ends this tweet with the hashtag, #IActuallyLoveAmerica.

There were been reports that Grande and her friends were being investigated by the police for the incident, but the LA Times reported that the Wolfee Donut Shop, not Grande, was being investigated

The Riverside County Department of Health looked into why it was so easy for Grande and her friends to orally assault the sweet treats. They also wanted to know if the shop had a history of leaving donuts unattended with customers, explains The LA Times

On Thursday, the Wolfee Donut Shop was downgraded from an "A" to a "B" health rating, CBS reports. Marin has a week to fix the shop's "minor infractions."

Grande was slated to headline the upcoming Major League Baseball All-Star Concert. She will no longer be performing due to the removal of her wisdom teeth, according to a statement from a Grande representative to The Associated Press

"As for why I cannot be at the MLB show, I have had emergency oral surgery and due to recovery I cannot attend the show," Grande said in her apology

She had also tweeted about the surgery two days after the donut incident, but the timing still seems questionable given recent events.

The concert will now be headlined by Demi Lovato, The LA Times reports

Ariana Grande just put a very raw #Donutgate apology on YouTube

ariana grande

Ever since security footage busted Ariana Grande licking donuts and proclaiming "I hate America," in a California donut shop, things have not been looking great for the pop star — now the singer has shared a YouTube video to apologize again for her bizarre behavior.

In case you aren't up to speed on #Donutgate, here's what you need to know. Grande and several friends, including boyfriend and backup dance Ricky Alvarez, visited a donut shop over the weekend, TMZ reported. Security footage shows the singer licking a couple donuts sitting on the shop's counter and at one point saying, "What the f--- is this? I hate Americans. I hate America."

Health Inspectors have since investigated the donut shop where #DonutGate occurred and demoted the establishment from an "A" to a "B" rating. The shop has been given a week to fix its infractions, including better protecting un-purchased treats from customers and their tongues. It's a story that's been escalating and adding layers every day since it went down.

Here's a clip from the incident which happened on the Fourth of July at the Wolfee Donut Shop in Elsinore, California.

On Thursday, Grande posted a video entitled "sorry babes," to her YouTube channel apologizing for the incident which she calls, "the donut fiasco and craziness." Grande had previously tweeted an apology, but says she felt the need to further explain her actions.

"I apologize for my poor choice of words and for my behavior," she says in the video. "Seeing how ugly it looks when you behave a certain way makes you want to never behave that way again."

In her earlier Twitter apology, Grande couched her anti-American statements by saying she was commenting on the nation's obesity problem, not the entire country.

"I’ve actually never been prouder to be American," Grande explains in the video. "The advances that we’ve made in the past couple months and the all the wonderful progressive things that have been going on, I’ve never been prouder of this country."

Grande claims she is trying to take full responsibility for her actions, but does not actually apologize for licking the donuts.

"I’m going to come forward and own up to what I did," she says, providing no further explanation for her tongue escapades.

Here's a look at the earlier tweet apology from Wednesday. Note that the tweet also does not explicitly reference donut licking.

In case you find it hard to read above:

I am EXTREMELY proud to be an American and I’ve always made it clear that I love my country. What I said in a private moment with my friend, who was buying the donuts, was taken out of context and I am sorry for not using more discretion with my choice of words. That being said let me once again apologize if I have offended anyone with my poor choice of words. - Ariana Grande

Since the footage surfaced, Grande's trip the donut shop has evolved into quite the scandal. Actor Rob Lowe weighed in calling Grande "lame" and even comparing her actions to the Dixie Chicks scandal of 2003. The donut shop has also been brought up on health code violations, CBS reported
