Five-time Grammy winner Lauryn Hill is the latest celebrity with taxing problems.
The "Killing Me Softly With His Song" singer is charged with failing to file tax returns on more than $1.6 million in income, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Papers filed in the U.S. District Court of Newark, New Jersey allege Hill did not file taxes for three consecutive years from 2005 through 2007.
Each of the three charges carries a one year penalty in jail and up to $100,000 fine.
Hill is set to appear before a federal magistrate later this month on June 29th.
